Easy Yeast Rolls

1   Pkg.   Dry Yeast
2 or 3 Heaping Tbls. Sugar
1   Tbls.   Shortening
1   Tbls.   Salt

Prepare yeast per package and combine prepared yeast with sugar, shortening and salt.  Slowly blend with plain flour (4-1/2 cups for full recipe) to make soft dough.  Turn out onto  floured surface and work just enough to handle well. Place in bowl and spread oil on top of the dough.   Cover and let rise until double in size.  Turn out onto floured and knead several times.  Cut into biscuit-size rolls and again spread oil on top of biscuits.  Bake in 400 degree oven until brown (approximately 20 minutes).

Makes 12-18 biscuits.
